The CONCEPT

Our 'Elite' Garden Rooms are made to order to our customers specifications, and are hand made by a dedicated manufacturing team. Standard size and custom made buildings are easily catered for.

The secret and success of our 'Elite' Garden Buildings lies in the very design principal. There is no such thing as a standard 'Design' each building is designed manufactured to our customers personal requirements. There are a host of 'Optional Extras' enabling our customers to have a totally unique product.

DESIGNING and PRICING YOUR GARDEN ROOM.....

The manufacturers continually strive to keep abreast with Market Trends and subsequently their range of 'Optional Extras' is always being updated....this year they have introduced Composite Cladding, Roof Lanterns, Roof Lights and Aluminium Doors and Windows.

Designing and Pricing your building could not be easier - referring to our PDF Downloads page (Full colour Brochure; Price List; Doors and Window options) you can accurately cost your building (remember our Sales Team are here to help as it can sometimes be a little confusing. Please do not hesitate to phone us 01823 334495 or Email us sales@tauntonsheds,co,uk).

Step 1: Pick your Style and Size of Building
Step 2: Pick your Cladding Options - Timber (no charge), Cedar or Composite cost as detailed in the price list. PLEASE NOTE Composite Cladding is only available on the Dalbury, Walton and Huntington Models
Step 3: Choose (from PDF file Guide to Windows and Doors) your Door/Window Styles and Sizes. Windows and Door configurations are dependant on building size and can, at times, be confusing. We are on hand to advise you accordingly.
Step 4: Total all values and this will give you your total 'Basic' Costs
Step 5: Consider any Optional Extras that you may think relevant (Guttering, insulated Floor etc).
Standard Timber Clad Buildings are Factory painted with a choice 18 colours to pick (see back page of brochure).
Choice of external colours (5) for UVPC Doors and Windows and 3 colours for Aluminium.

WHAT DO I HAVE TO PROVIDE.........

Apart from Tea, Coffee, Biscuits and Cake (for the fitters) you will need to provide

A SUITABLE BASE
When considering the siting of your building you must consider how close to Fences, Walls etc. you intend to place the building. For Standard Timber Clad and Cedar Buildings a minimum of one foot (ideally eighteen inches) is required away from boundaries. For Composite Clad buildings a minimum of two feet (if not more) is required. Bases must be Flat, Firm, Level and Square and can either be Timber Framed, Concrete, or Patio Slabs (it is recommended that for concrete or patio slab bases the use of appropriate sized timber bearers are used. We have approved Sub-Contractors who can undertake the works on your behalf, if you decide you use your own Sub-Contractors we strongly urge that they talk to us prior to undertaking any base preparation works. The manufacturers will refuse to install the building on a sub standard base and will charge a secondary fee to secure an alternative installation date.

ACCESS
Do you have any issues with access ? Is it easy to get the components to your base? The important issue is height a minimum height of 8 feet is required, is it a long carry ? are there any Right Angle turns ? Because of Health and Safety Laws the fitters will not take the panels over Fences or Walls. Panels can be split (at the point of manufacture) for ease of access through doors or gates etc. We will discuss access. Again the manufacturers will refuse to install the building if there are access issues and will charge a secondary fee to secure an alternative installation date.

ELECTRICS
We currently do not offer an 'Electrical Package' so f you are planning to have electrics installed in your new building you will need to get a quote from a qualified electrician (we can supply the name and contact details of a reputable electrician). Remember it is important to have the electrician on site (within an hour and a half of the fitters arrival).

SITE VISITS
If in any doubt concerning Access, Base or Location we will happily undertake a site visit and advise you accordingly. Unfortunately we now have to charge for site visits.

ORDERING, PAYMENT, WAITING TIME, INSTALLATION TIME

ORDERING
Because of the numerous options all ordering and associated paperwork needs to be read, checked and signed in our office (in certain circumstances this can be done via email).

PAYMENT SHEDULE (as per section 19 of T&C's of Sale)
Payment for the product is required in three instalments: First instalment 15% of overall order value is payable at point of purchase. Second Instalment is a minimum of 40% of the overall order value at the point of 'booking in' - this secures your delivery and installation date. Third and Final instalment is due no later than 10 working days before the delivery and installation date.

All installs are undertaken by the manufacturers own team of professional fitters. Installation times are dependant on the time of year (hours of daylight) Size and style of building. Smaller buildings with extended daylight would normally be a day if it is longer than a day then the fitters normally stay down overnight

Ex50mmx50mm (finished at 44mmx44mm) Framing and Floor Joists with 18mm Tongue and Groove matchboard flooring
EXTERNAL CLADDINGS
TIMBER - Factory spray painted 12mm Tongue and Groove Shiplap
COMPOSITE - 14mm Wood Grain effect 'Ultrashield' composite
CEDAR - 14mm Western Red Cedar (No 2 Clear and Better)
INTERNAL CLADDINGS
Breathable membrane, 50mm Mineral wool insulation, heat reflective membrane, 9mm vertically grooved primed MDF internal lining.
FLOORING
8mm Laminate with 3mm underlay on 18mm Tongue and Groove matchboard flooring.
ROOF COVERINGS
EPDM Rubber Roof (where applicable) or Decorative Mineral Felt Tiles.
LINED and INSULATED ROOF
Roof Boards 12mm Tongue and Groove Boards, 50mm Earthwool Insulation with reflective foil vapour barrier, lined with 9mm 'V' Grooved MDF.
DOORS and WINDOWS
Highest quality UPVC or Aluminium Doors and Windows .
